General
Rules 1. Do
not claim any of my work (dolls, pixels, bases, writings, videos, etc.) as your
own. 2. Do
not alter any of my work (dolls, pixels, bases, writings, videos, etc.) and
claim it as your own. 3. No inline
linking. (Otherwise known as hotlinking, direct
linking, leeching, etc.) Doll
Rules 1. Do
not use my dolls in your graphics. This includes layouts, buttons, banners,
avatars, etc. (The only exception to this rule is if I’ve given you a doll as a
gift.) 2. No frankendolling. This means you cannot copy any parts of my
dolls and paste them on your own. This includes copying pixel-by-pixel. 3. Do
not adopt any dolls that say “Do Not Adopt” in the doll description (hovering
mouse over doll will provide description). Link back to www.pixelmeadows.com if
you do choose to adopt a doll. Base
Rules 1. You
must provide credit each time you use a base from this site. Link back to www.pixelmeadows.com
on the same page as the doll and/or on a special base credit page. 2. You
may alter the bases on this site as much as you want. Change the pose, face,
skin tone, resize it, mirror it, crop it – whatever
you'd like. As long as you provide credit no matter what alterations are done,
I’m very flexible with this rule. ^-^ 3. You
may use the bases on this site in your graphics, as long as credit is given and
a link back to www.pixelmeadows.com is provided. 4. You may
use a skin palette from one of the bases on this site to create your own. No
credit needed. 5. You
may take a head from one of the bases on this site and place it on a base body created
by another doller as long as you provide proper
credit with a link back. Same rule applies towards the body. 6. You
may mix and match body parts between the various base sets provided on this
site. 7. You
must email me and ask me for permission to use one of my base sets in a base
edit competition hosted by you. I will most likely say yes, but you need to ask
first. ^-^ 8. You
must email me and ask for permission to use one of my base sets in a dollmaker created by you. If I say yes, then base credit
and a link back to www.pixelmeadows.com must be provided on the same page as
the dollmaker. Contest
Rules 1. No frankendolling. 2. Do
not enter another doller’s work in contests hosted on
this site. 3. Ask
for permission first before submitting collabs. 4. Entries
can be any size. I do not have a size limit. 5. Entries
do not have to be transparent since my site background is always white. 6. Entries
should be in the JPEG, BMP, GIF, or PNG format. 7. A
maximum number of two entries per contest is allowed. 8. Number
of dolls allowed per entry varies with each contest. Check contest details. 9. Entries
should be sent to my email to pixienerd(at)hotmail(dot)com.
You may send your entry in the form of an attachment or as a link. ^-^ 10. Proper
base credit must accompany all contest entries. 11. Gore
and nudity are allowed. Tutorial
Rules 1. No frankendolling, please. My tutorials are meant for
reference only, not copying pixel-by-pixel. 2. Do
not steal the tutorials on this site and/or post them elsewhere. 3. Credit
is not required upon using the tutorials on this site. It is merely
appreciated. ^-^ Tagboard Rules 1. Please
be respectful to me and to others when writing messages on the tagboard. Any and all rude messages will be deleted and the
author of said messages will be banned. 2. Please
do not spam the tagboard. Spammers will be banned and
their messages will be deleted. 3. The tagboard is not to be used for personal issues that may
exist between us. If you have an issue with something I have done or something
I have said, you need to email me in private and I promise
I will speak with you. ________________________________________________________________ F.A.Q.
(Frequently Asked Questions) 1. I
would like to adopt one of your dolls but it says “Do Not Adopt” in the
description. Is there a way I can convince you to let me adopt the doll anyway? Well, there is a reason it
says Do Not Adopt. However, I may make *some* exceptions. Email me and I shall
see what I can do. 2. May I
use a doll of yours in a website layout of mine? No.
The only exception to this rule is if the doll is a gift from me to you. 3. May I
use a base of yours in a website layout of mine? Yes,
as long as you provide proper credit and a link back. 4. Do I
always have to provide base credit when I use a Pixel Meadows base? Yes. The only exception to
this rule is when using a Pixel Meadows base in a link-me banner or a contest
award graphic. 5. What
should I do if I see someone stealing your work without providing proper
credit? Contact me through email
please. I’ll take care of it. 6. What
should I do if I see you using something of mine without providing proper
credit? Contact me through email or
leave a message on the tagboard and please accept my
apologies. I’ll be sure to fix the problem immediately. 7. How
can I contact you? The quickest and most
efficient way to contact me is through email. My email address is pixienerd[at]hotmail[dot]com. You may also contact me
through the tagboard on this site, as well as through
myspace, youtube, deviantart, or fanfiction. Links to my various
accounts are provided on the About Me page. 8. Where
is the pixel art located? I no longer create pixel
art. It was actually removed from the site years ago. ^-^ My dolls, bases,
traditional and digital artwork are all still available for viewing, however. 9. Where
are the doll makers located? I do not provide doll makers
on this website currently. Please check elsewhere. ^-^ 10. Why
is there a “Bandwidth Exceeded” graphic on your website? What should I do if I
see this graphic? Please contact me if you see
this message or a message similar to it anywhere on the site. I’ll have it
fixed as soon as possible. 11. Can
we be sibling sites? Sure, but be warned that I’m
notoriously bad at keeping in contact with people. :P
Socializing is not my forte, I’m afraid. 12. Can
you put my site banner on your link page? If it's to a dolling site
and is 88x31, then sure. ^-^ 13. Where
should I send my contest entries? To my email: pixienerd[at]hotmail[dot]com. Send it as an attachment or a
link. If you have any problems doing this, let know via email or tagboard. 14. Do
you accept requests for dolls, base sets, base poses, tutorials, etc.? Yes and no. It depends on
the request. 15. How
do you draw *enter something related to dolls here*? If you’d like to know how to
doll something, why not request a tutorial? :) 16. Who
is that demonic looking blue guy with the tail that you’re so enamored with? Kurt
Wagner, otherwise known as Nightcrawler from the X-men. He’s
my favorite comic book character. He’s actually my favorite fictional
character, period. 17. So
you like the X-men? Yep! :) I would consider it
my obsession of the moment, lol. 18. What’s
“Kurtty”? Kurtty refers to the
romantic relationship between Kurt Wagner and Kitty Pryde, otherwise known as
Nightcrawler and Shadowcat from the X-men. They are my favorite fictional couple.
<3 19. You do realize that Kurt Wagner and Kitty Pryde
aren't actually a couple, right? *sigh* Yes, I am fully aware
that they are not canon. Thank you ever so much for reminding me! =P Their
relationship thus far as been purely platonic in
nature, always one of close friendship and nothing more (unless you're a Kurtty
fan with a talent for reading inbetween the lines,
then they've had all sorts of romantic moments, lol). Regardless of the status
of their relationship, though, they are and always will be my OTP. 20. Where
do you find your comics? Where can I find them? 21. This was once exclusively a doll site, but it seems
that more and more non-doll related things have been added to it lately. Why? It still is a "dolling
site" and dolling will always be the main focus. That said, I've decided
to display a few of my other hobbies and interests here, as I don't feel like
creating an entirely different website for them. :) 22. May I
use one of your past layouts? No. 23. May I
doll one of your original characters? Yes. 24. How
long have you been dolling? For
quite awhile now. I started dolling somewhere between 1999 and
2002. 25. How
come there are only a few dolls on your site? Most of my dolls have been
lost over the years via two computer crashes and eleven house moves. Others are
too old and/or too hideous to be posted online. =P 26. You've created a doll and stated that the base
belongs to you, but I can't find the base on your site. Why is this and where
can I find the missing base? Sometimes I make a base specifically
for one doll. Since these particular bases are rarely complete and not part of
a set, I do not offer them for public use. Sorry. :) 27. Would
you be willing to do a collaboration with me? I’m not opposed to the idea.
Contact me and we’ll see. 28. How
come I never see you out in the dolling community? I’m naturally inclined to
keep to myself – even online! =P You're more apt to
find me active in the comic and fanfiction community than in the dolling one. 29. Why
does your website look so strange on my computer? It's unfortunate, but I just
can't get my website to look great in all browsers and resolutions. Well...
okay, I suppose that's not entirely true. I'm sure it would look decent in most
browsers/resolutions if I actually took the time to expand my knowledge of HTML
and CSS and stopped relying on what I learned in elementary school, lol.
Regardless, if you can't get the site to function properly for whatever reason,
let me know, and I'll stop being a lazy bum and work on properly coding the
site. 30. How
many hobbies do you have, anyway? Oy, I don’t even know. Let’s
just say I’m never bored, lol! 31. Why
do you use so many emoticons online? It’s an addiction – I can’t
stop! XD 32. Is
there a place online that I can see your old dolls? Currently, the only place is
in the About Site section of the site. I may create an archive in the Doll section
of the site in the future to display older dolls. 33. Whatever
happened to the original poetry posted on this site? *cringe* Please don't tell
me you actually remember those. XP 34. Whatever
happened to the old tutorials posted on this site? My
tutorials are forever being rewritten and replaced. If you’re looking for one in
particular, chances are likely it’s been banished to darkest depths of my
computer hard drive, never to be seen again. =P |
